TOFO with Diversity Scuba Mozambique is one of the least known countries in Southern Africa. It is bordered by Tanzania to the north and by South Africa to the south and has a coastline measuring 2,500 km, making it the country with the fourth longest coastline in Africa. In the Southern Hemisphere, in the stretch of the Indian Ocean known as the Mozambican Channel, lies a tiny village named Tofo. Despite fragile appearances, Mozambique is becoming one of the most interesting places for travellers. Main attractions include wildlife, its beautiful landscape and an ancient culture full of attractions. Tofo is the perfect place to see large pelagic, like whale sharks and mantas, due to the abundance of microscopic sea life. The ocean hits the coast with force and the waves crash against the cliffs, making it a great place for surfing or for viewing whales.
